The legal agreement governing your use of Colorado Service Animals.

Effective date: May 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By creating an account, completing intake, or using any part of our website or services, you agree to these Terms.
  • If you do not agree, do not use our services.
  • We may update these Terms; material changes will be emailed 30 days in advance to active accounts.

2. Description of Services

  • Colorado Service Animals is a telehealth platform connecting Colorado residents with Colorado-licensed mental-health clinicians.
  • We facilitate clinical evaluations for Emotional Support Animal (ESA) and Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) determinations.
  • An ESA or PSD letter is issued only when clinically appropriate based on independent clinician judgment.
  • We do not guarantee any specific clinical outcome.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be a current resident of the State of Colorado at the time of evaluation.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or a minor aged 12-17 with verified parental or guardian consent.
  • You must be able to participate in a live telehealth video session.
  • You must provide accurate, truthful information during intake.

4. Clinical Disclaimer

  • Our services do not constitute emergency mental-health care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.
  • Telehealth has inherent limitations — your clinician may refer you to in-person care if appropriate.
  • Issuance of an ESA or PSD letter is at the sole professional discretion of the licensed clinician.
  • Letters reflect the clinician's independent professional opinion and are not a guarantee against landlord or third-party challenge.

5. Payment & Refunds

  • Pricing is shown clearly during checkout: ESA $149, PSD $199.
  • Payment is collected at booking and processed by our PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor.
  • If your clinician determines you do not qualify, you receive a 100% refund — see our Refund Policy.
  • Approved letters are non-refundable once delivered.
  • Renewals follow the same fee structure unless promotional pricing applies.

6. User Conduct

  • You agree not to misrepresent your identity, residency, or symptoms.
  • You agree not to share, alter, or fraudulently reproduce any letter we issue.
  • Recording sessions without written consent is prohibited.
  • Abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior toward clinicians or staff results in immediate termination.
  • Violations may result in account termination and reporting to authorities.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, branding, and software are owned by Colorado Service Animals or licensors.
  • Your issued letter is for your personal use only and may not be republished or sold.
  • Limited license — you may print, save, and submit your letter to housing providers, schools, or HOAs.

8. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
  • HIPAA-mandated record retention applies after closure.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by Colorado law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for landlord, HOA, school, or third-party decisions regarding your letter.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; if so, the above applies to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colorado Service Animals, its clinicians, and staff from claims arising out of your misuse of services or violation of these Terms.
  • This obligation survives termination of your account.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  • Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the state and federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
  • Before filing any formal action, you agree to attempt good-faith resolution by emailing us first.
  • Either party may elect binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12. Changes to These Terms

  • Material changes will be emailed to active account holders 30 days in advance.
  • Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
